Your story—in your words.
Your wedding film gets better every time you watch.
It feels like you. It’s full of your personality, your inside jokes, your bravest challenges, and your deepest hopes.
It’s you. It’s yours. It’s possible.
Do you know your story?
Growing up, I always felt hurried. I couldn’t stop to fix the seams on my socks because my family would already be waiting in the car. I had to hurry up, to push through, to grit it out.
I heard the same message in church: “It’s admirable to suffer. Do it for the cause.” I wanted to fit in, so I followed. I suffered with gusto.
I was afraid of offending or inconveniencing anyone—terrified of asking too much and ending up alone. I cared so much about what other people thought that I ignored my own experience.
And then one day, I got the hiccups.
No big deal—that’s easy to ignore. But they lasted all day. Then the next day. Every hour at first, then every few minutes. And stronger—more violent. I still tried to hide it. But the hiccups turned into convulsions that looked like seizures. And that’s when the dean found out.
After months of doctor visits, every medical cause was ruled out except anxiety. I had put so much pressure on myself to not be an inconvenience that it completely incapacitated me. And it finally hit me:
I don’t have to fit in.
I couldn’t do it. I have to make my own choices and live at my own pace.
My feelings matter. My experience is worth noticing. My stories are worth celebrating.
Now I’m on a mission to help you to know your story. To see the beauty in your life. To face your complex feelings and shamelessly celebrate your story.
What better way than to meet you at this turn in your life? Let’s discover your story together and celebrate it.
You’re beautiful and complex and oh, so human.

“You understand my heart.”
